An Experimental theatrical performance of Theatre Shine (First time based on the thought of MalalaYousufzai)

In the history of human civilization and through the program of imperialism, it is observed that there is a distinct relation in between domination and extortion. In such state of affair, the word ‘democracy’ is a vague terminology. This race for acquiring the power to rule over the society as well as the community in different countries of this world gives birth to a series of matter of grave concern. Who is answerable for all this social violence, injustice on mankind and oppression being carried on irrespective of male, female and children?

The new production of Theatre Shine: Tomar Dake was created with a view to putting on an exemplary document of such prevailing phenomenon of social violence and injustice in the north and west Asian countries. This was performed with an experimental modern theatrical posture. With reasonable dialogue, Tomar Dake was inspired by Tagore’s best five dramas viz. Roktokorobi, Bisarjon, Achalayatan, Muktodhara and Dakghor which were somehow related to this drama in its actual sensibility.

In own enrich literature, a number of novelists wrote about the story of social discrimination and injustice which calls for the stigma to on civilization. It is also observed that for the cause of misrule and atrocity of the ruler and the war among the power mongers, the worst affected elements are the women and innocent children. This situation is continuing in a different land of the world but in a new form with more and more cruelty. Theater has always bagged such type of collective unconsciousness wherefrom they nurtured and evolved sharp weapon of protest on their platform to penetrate the consequence of people to speak out against all such evil forces and humiliation of our civilization.

The story of daring Malala Yusufzai of Swat province in Pakistan to some extent is related to some character of Tagore’s Raktokorobi and in other parts of drama, the dramatist and the director of this production got the essence of Bisarjon, Muktodhara, Dakghor and Achalayatan to relate the fundamentalist extortion, their cruelty in the name of religion and also cast and crewed.

Tomar Dake also tried to paint out the inhuman killing of children in Seria, terrorism in Lebanon and also the revolutionary activities where the drama tried to find out the related characters of Amal (Dakghor) Aparna (Bisarjon), Raja (Roktokorobi) or Nandini ( Roktokorobi) created by the great personality Rabindranath Tagore.

Theatre Shine believes that when there is none to speak out for protest, the whole society keep themselves numb, but if a single voice roves up then it gradually become stronger and stronger amongst the society. In view of the alone synopsis, the theatre community through this act appealed to this good sense of the powerful nation and the international organization that, if you want peace in Syria, Palestine, Lebanon, Afghanistan and other lands then don’t extend your hand with arms and ammunitions, but in exchange please shine the light of education and knowledge by sending books and pens in place of sending tanks, mortar, rifles, and rockets launchers.
